Many of us have multiple email accounts, whether they are for personal uses or work purposes, and thus Mac users may find it helpful to add a new email account to the Mail app in Mac OS. This guide will walk through the process of adding an email account to the Mac so that it can be checked, managed, and used from the Mail app.
Aqua Mail is a freemium Android email app that offers easy setup for a variety of email services such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo; the app also supports email accounts hosted by Google Apps.
Add an email account
If you haven't already set up an email account in Mail, you might be prompted to add one when you open the app. If you're not prompted, or you just want to add another account, follow these steps:
From the menu bar in Mail, choose Mail > Add Account.
Select your email provider from the list, then click Continue.
Some accounts, such as Google, might ask that you click Open Browser to complete authentication in your web browser.
Follow the onscreen instructions to enter account details, such as your name, email address, and password. If you're not sure what information to enter, please contact your email provider for help.
Use the Inbox for each account
The Inbox gathers together the messages for every email account you added. If you added more than one account, you can click the disclosure triangle next to Inbox in the sidebar, then select a mailbox to see only the messages for that account.
Optional: Turn on other account features

Hello. This is more of an answer/solution to a problem that many Charter/Spectrum users may have.
According the the Charter/Spectrum website, it says to do the following:
Best App For Spectrum Email For Macs
Incoming Mail Server
Spectrum App For Macbook
Account Type: IMAP
Mail Server: mobile.charter.net
Username: Full Spectrum email address (including @charter.net)
Password: Spectrum email password (This field should automatically populate)
Outgoing Mail Server
SMTP Server: mobile.charter.net
Choose Use only this server.
Select Use authentication.
Username: Full Spectrum email (including @charter.net)
Password: Spectrum email password
That just did not work, no matter how many times I tried. After working on this with Apple, and specifically Celestine at Apple Support, we figured out that the Mail Server that they were recommending of : mobile.charter.net was inaccurate.
It should be: IMAP.charter.net
you can use this for both incoming and outgoing.

At one point there will be a warning that says your password is insecure. Just ignore that.
